Stop waiting for permission.

You have spent long enough waiting for someone to say it is okay to slow down, want more, and start over. Here is your official notice: you do not need them. Take the pen.

The idea

A permission slip is a small piece of paper that says you are allowed.

I spent years waiting for someone to say it was okay to rest, to want things, to change my mind. Nobody said it. So I gave it to myself, one permission slip at a time. I figured other women were standing around waiting too. Not for me to hand them permission. For the reminder that they never needed anyone's to begin with.

Josie Torres

The woman behind it

I am Josie. I built the thing I needed.

I once spent three hours color coding a closet to avoid one honest journal entry. Very productive. Completely useless. That was the pattern for years. My Permission Slips is what happened when I finally put down the label maker and picked up the pen.

The permission you are waiting for is yours to give.
